Maxime Ros:
“Today, we are excited to have Elsa Clerge, Global Medical Education Program Manager at Medtronic, based in Austin, Texas.
Hi Elsa, where do you see organizations getting the most value out of deploying Virtual Reality?“
Elsa Clerge:
“I really think VR can add value for educational purposes.
Indeed, the main goal of an educational program is to decrease the learning curve and to make the experience unique and close to reality.
I see such a tool could improve internal training for sales or technicians to understand clearly the steps of any procedures.
It can also replace time to time visits to a work environment, which could be difficult to enter hospitals, manufacturers, headquarters of a company, to understand the environment they must work in.
For external training, it is a great tool to diversify your offer.
Indeed, in education, you need to find different supports to share sometimes the same learnings, just to highlight some key points or make the learning experience more interactive, more attractive, and very efficient. Of course, it is also an interesting support during congresses or fairs, as people are always very curious to see what is happening in this virtual environment.“
